This in turn has several communication options to send the weights to the PLC or PC. The weighing module ensures that the correct vertical force is applied to each strain gauge, prevents its effects from non-vertical forces, and ensures repeatability of the output signal. Weighing systems can be calibrated by filling the silo with stored material weight, placing or hanging certified test weights in the silo, or using the "theoretical calibration" feature of the weighing indicator or transmitter.
